About me

I really enjoy helping my patients learn not to be afraid of the dentist. I make sure to explain everything to my patients, showing them the different pieces of equipment and tools, explaining how they work, and why we use them. Creating familiarity is essential to helping anyone, especially young ones, feel more comfortable in a new situation. I also speak with children on their level: I engage with them, encourage their questions, and learn about their concerns so I can provide reassurance and encouragement.

See you around the neighborhood!

I also try my best to educate our parents, starting with the child’s first visit, about preventing dental issues and cavities. Still, sometimes cavities or other problems occur, and we need to undertake a more “difficult” procedure. That’s when the trust we’ve established really helps, as well as some combination of laughing gas and/or going to sleep, to help make a stressful situation a lot easier.

The best feeling, as a paediatric dentist, is at the end of a visit, when a patient is smiling and laughing, or even gives me a high five and says “That wasn’t bad at all?!”  That’s when you feel like maybe you’ve made a difference.

My Education and Continuing Education
  • Bachelor in Science, University of Toronto
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Columbia University
  • Pediatric Dental Residency, New York Presbyterian Hospital
  • On-Staff Pediatric Dentist, Markham Stouffville Hospital

I seek out continuing education through conferences, conventions, and study clubs. Paediatric dentistry is a rapidly changing field: my patients trust me to provide the strongest treatments and care experience possible. Staying current on all the developments in technologies, materials, and processes ensures I meet my patients’ needs.

Personal Life

I was born and raised in Toronto and have lived in Markham for over a decade. Along with my wife and two children, we are proud to call ourselves Markhamites. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family whether it’s traveling abroad or being couch potatoes at home. We also enjoy walking our dog around Toogood Pond and eating yummy food on Main Street Unionville. See you around the neighborhood!
